KTW Tanegashima Carbine
Code: KTW-TANG-CARB
Picture it. It's the middle of the 15th century. You are a samurai slowly creeping through the reeds in the dead of night towards the enemy stronghold. You look to the top of the wall, see a flash of light, hear an ear splitting crack, and everything goes black. The source? The Tanegashima matchlock carbine. Acquired from Portuguese sailors in 1543, the designs were copied and improved until they could be mass produced, these rifles changed the way wars were fought in Japan forever.
The KTW Tanegashima Carbine Spring Powered Airsoft Rifle is a faithful replica of the historic Tanegashima matchlock arquebus carbine. This variant is much shorter than a full-size Tanegashima, as the carbine was designed to be used by horseback troops, allowing for easy storage and loading.
KTW has done a superb job of replicating the rifle, with a mostly metal construction and a real wood stock. It also features a real wick which you can adjust for length, and to add extra realism, the tip of the wick is slightly burnt from the factory.
This replica is loaded through an internal magazine tube located in a mock cleaning rod. The rifle itself is a spring powered bolt action rifle, with semi realistic operation (short of actually lighting the fuse) to give this weapon a truly authentic feel.Capacity: 77
